The shelf superstructure with a pierced three quarter gallery, fitted with a foliate scroll marquetry frieze drawer on a yew wood ground, fitted with an adjustable shelf enclosed by a pair of pleated silk panel doors fronted by turned column stiles on a plinth base, a tracing of the foliate scroll decoration on the frieze exists on the underside of the drawer bottom
