These fine tablespoons appear to belong to the same service as a soup ladle from the Pauline Revere Thayer collection, now at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (illustrated in Kathryn C. Buhler, American Silver 1655-1825 in the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, 1972, p. 471, fig. 421). Both the tablespoons and the ladle are large scale, have an identical engraved monogram, and bear the same version of Revere's mark.
