Inlaid overall with boxwood lines and geometric banding, the circular top centred by a star motif and framed by multiple geometric borders, on a ring-turned baluster support and on hipped scrolling legs, restorations

This marquetry centre table is virtually identical to an example stencilled FW. MORETTI & CO. SPECIALITA in TAVOLA in MOSAICO DEPOSITO IN ROLO EMILIA, which was sold anonymously at Sotheby's London, 15 March 1974, lot 156, and at CHristie's London, 18 May 1995, lot 129. Therefore one can assume that the present table was executed in the same workshop.
