Each with a later Portor marble top and a rosette and composition guilloche frieze, on tapering fluted and rosette-centred lattice supports with a concave sided triangular base and gilt lead lion-paw feet, redecorated with traces of at least one earlier decoration treatment
Each 39½ in. (101 cm.) high; 12 in. (30 cm.) diameter (2)

These torcheres for vases or candelabra relate are conceived in the manner of Roman Tripod altars, as popularised by a pattern introduced around 1800 at his Duchess Street mansion/museum by Thomas Hope (T,Hope's Household Furniture and Interior Decoration, 1807, pl.9).
