A GEORGE II LARGE MAHOGANY CHEST
MID-18th CENTURY
The rectangular moulded top above two short and three long graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet, the first long drawer with paper label inscribed in ink 'THIS CHEST OF DRAWERS BELONGS TO MISS ALICE TAYLOR, WOODCROFT HAVERTHWAIT, ULVERSTON, LANCS.', the bottom long drawer with identical label also inscribed 'NOW TO J. KGREG', the handles apparently original with marks from movement of backplates
