Lot Essay

Lanel designed this model for the S.S. Normandie's 300 foot long first class dining room. Christofle manufactured Lanel's designs for the ocean liner's famously luxurious Art Deco interiors. Lanel's affiliation with Christofle lasted from 1920--1946.
