MARK OF ROBERT JONES (I), LONDON, 1775
Shaped circular with bead and foliate border, on four ball and claw feet, the centre engraved with armorial, the underside engraved with scratchweight 57"8
16¼ in. (41.5 cm.) diameter
57 oz. (1767 gr.)
The arms are believed to be for the 2nd marriage of Sir William Innes, 8th baronet of Balvenie, to Mary Maria, daughter and heiress of Major Parsons of York. Sir William Innes, Lt. Col. 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen's Bays) died aged 100 in 1817,
leaving no male issue.
