A street scene, Delft

The original, on canvas, signed, 54.3 x 44 cm, entered the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam in 1921, when it was presented as a gift by Sir Henry Deterding. He had bought it from the Six Collection (A.Blankert, J.M.Montias, G.Aillaud, Vermeer, 1992, p.172-178, n^o9, with ill. plate 9).
