The rounded rectangular top enclosing a marquetry draughts board, above a cedar-lined frieze drawer on each side, the underside with a label inscribed 'FROM THE COLLECTION OF SIMON MARKS', and a railway label inscribed 'BOUGHT OFF UNCLE THOMAS BY W. J. HOWLES NOVEMBER 1877', the handles probably original
26¾ in. (68 cm.) high; 19¾ in. (50 cm.) wide; 18¼ in. (46.5 cm.) deep
