The rounded sides carved in crisp low relief with the 'Three Friends of Winter' (pine, bamboo and prunus), flanked by a pair of upright curved handles topped by animal masks and raised on a shallow pedestal foot, the domed cover intricately pierced and carved with a band of leafy peony scroll above a band of chrysanthemum scroll, all below the hollow flower-form knop, the stone of rich moss-green tone
