JIN/YUAN DYNASTY, 12TH-14TH CENTURY
Shown standing atop a base carved with lotus petals that radiate from an aperture in the underside, wearing a beaded necklace, a gold shawl draped over the shoulders that continues in deep U-shaped folds, a fringed apron and a red dhoti rolled below the waist and tied with a long knotted green sash that falls to the tops of the bare feet, the long jowly face with small mouth and downcast eyes, the hair pulled back into long tresses and a topknot behind a ribbon-hung, foliate crown centered in front by a pearl set atop a lotus flower, with remains of red, gold, green, blue and black pigment
