A MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAID ZITAN RUYI SCEPTRE

The curved shaft and head inlaid with mother-of-pearl plaques, those on the quatrefoil mid-section and lingzhi-form head carved in relief with interlocked lotus scroll, the sceptre inlaid all over on both sides in silver wire with archaistic scroll, a taotie mask, lotus blossom and tassled chime, the narrow sides and inlaid plaques surrounded by a silver wire fret border
