A WHITE JADE TRIPOD CENSER
18TH CENTURY
The compressed body raised on three mask and paw supports joined by large ruyi lappets that issue from the center of the underside, the sides carved with a band of taotie masks and scrolls reserved on a leiwen ground, with a pair of upright bail handles that arch outward above a loop formed by a small central leaf suspending a loose faceted ring and flanked by two large leaves that scroll back to the rim, the white stone with some opaque white inclusions and associated added russet color
