A TWO-DRAWER MING-STYLE HONGMU ALTAR COFFER, LIANERCHU
The single-panel top within the rectangular frame with everted ends and set on thick legs of square section, above two drawers deeply carved with dragons confronted around a pearl carved in the central panel, and two doors similarly carved with dragons chasing pearls fitted flush around the removable center stile, framed by the shaped apron and spandrels carved with dragons in pursuit of pearls, with brass hardware incised with lotus scroll
