A Bronze Figure of Buddha Shakyamuni
Tibet, 13th/14th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base decorated with silver inlay and beaded rims, his right hand extended in bhumisparsa mudra and his left held in dhyana mudra, his body clad in a close-fitting sanghati with edges inlaid in copper and silver, his tightly curled hair pulled over his ushnisha, with blue pigment remaining in the hair
