Gouache on paper heightened with gilt, depicting a seated ruler surrounded by courtiers, their hats and details of their clothing gilt, the floor a bright blue with split-palmette and floral gilt design, to background a window with tree trunk visable, surrounding wall decorated with panels featuring birds, within a gold border, dome and architectural elements extending beyond top border in to margin, glazed and framed, in yellow velvet box - 11 3/4 x 7 7/8in (30 x 19.7cm)
