AN OTTOMAN DAGGER (KARD) WITH DARK GREEN HARDSTONE HILT, TURKEY, 19TH CENTURY
With tapering watered steel blade, the gilt faced juncture with floral motifs, the hardstone hilt with faceted outside edge, top set with coral stone in a silver gilt mount, the wood sheath with two silver mounts engraved with bands of gilt diamond shapes to lower and arabesques and single flower either side to upper, red velvet cover between with silver braiding - 9 1/2in (24cm) long
