A DAMASCENED MUGHAL KATAR WITH SANSKRIT INSCRIPTION, INDIA, 17TH CENTURY
With double-edged watered steel blade, the parallel sides damascened with a series of four-petalled flowers with abstract vine, the grip with a series of dashes and lines, below a sanskrit inscription in gilt either side, the wooden sheath with green velvet cover and openwork silver mount - 11 5/8in (30cm) long
