The following section (lots 6-63) represent the second installment of the Library of manuscripts and calligraphies assembled by the Late Djafar Ghazi. Djafar Ghazi was a compelling collector who quietly amassed one of the finest collections of manuscripts and calligraphies to appear on the market. It is a collection in whose importance and discerning eye it takes time to fully appreciate. And when you think you have done so, it grows on you further. It is truly a remarkable collection. The rest of the library will be sold over the next two sales, with sales at King Street and South Kensington through to April 2010.
