SIGNED 'IMAD AL-HASSANI, SAFAVID IRAN, LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Persian manuscript on paper, with lines of bold black nasta'liq written diagonally in clouds reserved against gold ground, the interstices with gold flowerheads, laid down between gold and polychrome rules and minor border with floral scroll on buff ground, on later card outer borders with gold floral illumination, small inscription cartouche in the lower margin, with the date of 1364, calligraphy with minor losses
Calligraphy 7 7/8 x 3¼in. (20.2 x 8.3cm.)
