The mystical poems of Nizami, Persian manuscript on paper, 300ff., plus one fly-leaf, with 21ll. of flowing black nasta'liq arranged in four columns of flowing black nasta'liq divided by gold margins between black rules, headings in blue or gold within floral decorated panel, occasional text written diagonally within similarly illuminated panels, four finely illuminated half-page headings, one with an unusual pale blue ground, the double-page of text within gold cloud bands, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination, twenty-two contemporary miniatures by several artists, contemporary brown morocco binding, the central medallions and corner cartouches stamped gilt, the doublures similar with gold découpé on blue ground
