Persian manuscript on paper, 730ff plus 14 fly-leaves, each folio with 23ll. of black nasta'liq arranged in four vertical columns with double gold intercolumnar rules and gold and polychrome borders, text headings in red on gold grounds within illuminated panels with gold floral scrolls on blue ground, 6 illuminated heading panels with polychrome floral motifs on gold grounds, one heavily illuminated bifolio with large cusped marginal half-medallion, floral sprays and boteh motifs on blue and gold grounds, 50 contemporary miniatures in gouache, original lacquer binding dated on the back cover AH 1259/1843-44 AD
