The case of typical form, the hood with pierced soundfrets, columns and doors to the sides, moulded rectangular recessed panels to trunkdoor and plinth base, the brass dial with pewter chapter ring to trellis engraved and ringed centre, copper signature plaque signed C. Mathiesen a Roeskilde above date aperture, the arch with painted roundel depicting Adam and Eve, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement, hour strike and repeat on one bell above; pendulum, two lead weights, crank key
