The globular teapot applied with a gilt rim, handle and spout, the shakudo ground with incised and gilt floral designs around the handle and around the exterior, each side with a large lobed reserve in gilt metal worked with a nanako ground and decorated in shakudo with cranes, tigers, shishi among flowers interspersed with a pagoda, the lid with a gilt incised flower-scroll on a shakudo ground and with a gilt metal fitting in the form of a fruiting branch, the hexagonal lobed stand decorated en suite, dent to spout
