PROPERTY OF THE LATE BRIAN BROLLY REMOVED FROM KITT'S QUARRY, BURFORD, OXFORDSHIRE ( LOTS 1-43 ) Kitt's Quarry, the house, was built by Master stonemason Christopher Kempster in 1698 in the grounds of his quarry. From 1691-1707 he worked with Sir Christopher Wren and most of the stone in the dome of St Paul's Cathedral came from the family quarry. Many of the lots offered here were purchased at H.W.Keil Ltd of Broadway and William Stokes of Cirencester.
