mezzotints with roulette, a unique set of the three recorded states, comprising an unfinished proof of the first state, a proof of the second state with the image complete but before titles (with the text in the artist's hand in pen and ink), and an impression of the third, final state, all in generally good condition, the first and third states trimmed inside the plate but outside the subject, generally in good condition; the second state with margins, an area of staining in the lower margin and some pale waterstaining at left, otherwise in good condition
