CLINET
A new era for Clinet began in 1986 when Jean-Micheal Arcaute took over and capitalized on the magnificent terroir of the Chteau by emphasizing quality of fruit. In the vineyard, this was accomplished by going back to hand harvesting, rigorous sorting and extended hang time. Winery operations were improved by long maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation in small stainless steel vats. The wines are matured in new oak barrels and are finally bottled unfined and unfiltered. The percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon has also been decreased to accentuate the quintessential Pomerol grape: Merlot.
