Christie's is pleased to once again present selections from this exemplary collection of Fine Burgundies. We last presented selections from this cellar in our May 17, 2008 New York sale when we focused on biodynamic producers. For this go around we chose many of the same wines you found to be irresistible: The Grands Crus of Domaine Leflaive, Latour, Drouhin, Sauzet, Mortet and Rousseau.
Further highlights include 1 dozen 1996 Vosne-Romanée, Cros Parantoux (E. Rouget), half dozen 1995 Chambertin (A. Rousseau), and 1 dozen Puligny-Montrachet, Clavoillon (Leflaive).
A Christie's Specialist recently inspected and hand packed the collection out of a custom home built cellar. Perfect temperature and humidity maintained throughout single ownership of these wines.
Purchased on release from well known, respected retail sources for Fine Burgundy.
Note: Lefaive's Clavoillon, Folatières, and Pucelles were tasted by a select group of Burgundy devotees ahead of the May 17 sale and found to be in excellent condition. ST
