Henry Samuel (fl. c. 1940) appears to have been a retailer in Oxford Street, London and his brand has been recorded on a number of pieces of dating from the 18th and l9th Century.

The top with guilloche-carved edge above three drawers with later foliate-carved mahogany handles, on two pedestals, each with one shelf, locks replaced and central lock replaced by foliate medallion, ink- stamped to undersides of drawers 'HENRY SAMUEL, 484 OXFORD STREET, LONDON, W.', the reverse inscribed in chalk '6340/12', formerly with recessed casters, the handles replaced, the top possibly re-used
