SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, LATER EMBELLISHED
The top with guilloche-carved edge above three drawers with later foliate-carved mahogany handles, on two pedestals, each with one shelf, locks replaced and central lock replaced by foliate medallion, ink- stamped to undersides of drawers 'HENRY SAMUEL, 484 OXFORD STREET, LONDON, W.', the reverse inscribed in chalk '6340/12', formerly with recessed casters, the handles replaced, the top possibly re-used
