THE FENDER AND FIRETOOLS, GEORGE III, CIRCA 1780, THE ANDIRONS, 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a pierced steel fire fender of rounded rectangular form, with quatrafoil-centered trellis on each side; a pair of andirons with spherical brass finial above down-scrolled steel supports with scroll details and later arms; and a set of three steel firetools, comprising a pierced shovel, a poker and a pair of tongs, all with faceted ball finials
The fire fender: 43¾in. (111cm.) wide; the andirons: 8½in. (21.5cm.) high; the shovel: 29¼in. (74.5cm.) long (6)
