The boxwood and ebony line-inlaid case with raised shaped panel to the triple-footed plinth, plain break-arch door, the hood with brass-capped and reeded detached columns supporting the foliate pierced-wood blind frieze fret beneath the cavetto arch, the pagoda top surmounted by three gilt-brass flambeau urn finials, the dial signed Robert Ward. London on a silvered sector in the arch above a subsidiary silvered strike/silent ring, the silvered chapter ring with elaborately pierced blued steel hands, the matted center with large diameter narrow seconds ring and calendar aperture, foliate shell spandrels, the massive six pillar movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on eight bells with hour strike on further bell
