With a later spread-winged eagle finial above a domed top with four further finials above an arched glass paneled case with foliate pierced gilt-metal sound frets, with demi-lune mouldings framing glass panels, the silvered dial engraved with a Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the centre with an alarm-setting disc in the arch, the movement with twin barrels and verge escapement, further barrel for the alarm, striking the hours modulo 6 and repeating at four minutes past (ribotta), with two bells, the case with stepped and moulded plinth on scrolled ormolu feet, resting on a painted later bracket, feet regilt and possibly associated
