EARLY 20TH CENTURY, SPURIOUS INTERLACED L'S MARK, SIGNED WAGNER
In the Art Nouveau style, finely painted with a woodland scene from a Wagnerian opera most likely depicting a dispute over the tryst between Tristan and Isolde, a host of clansman and King Mark stand at ready, the iridescent turquoise-blue ground enriched allover with entwined raised gilt lilies, on a conforming socle and canted square base
