Each with frill mouth and beaded collar, the berried laurel loop handle terminating in a satyr mask, the oviform body finely painted with a cherub sitting on a branch within a gilt and platinum surround of flowering vine, above stiff-leaf tips, on a fluted socle and square base

Lot Essay

Antonin Boullemier was famed for his reserves of putti and cherubs. This oeuvre includes services of these sweet figures made for the Prince of Wales for use at Windsor Palace and HRH Prince Alfred.
