Romolo Sellini is recorded as one of six chief artists employed at the Vatican Mosaic Workshop from 1920-1925. Among his known works is an altar mosaic depicting Christ of the Sacred Heart appearing to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, which was commissioned in 1920 for St. Peter's Basilica.
