A ROMAN GOLD AND GARNET INTAGLIO RING
CIRCA 3RD CENTURY A.D.
With female profile bust, in gold mount, ¾ in. (2 cm.) across inner hoop; a Roman gold and cornelian intaglio ring with figure of Mercury, in similar mount, 1 in. (2.5 cm.) across inner hoop; a Roman silver and chalcedony intaglio ring with a warrior arming, standing before a flaming altar, in silver mount, ¾ in. (2 cm.) across inner hoop; and a miniature gold ring with raised square bezel with cabochon garnet inlay, 4th-5th Century A.D., ½ in. (1.4 cm.) across inner hoop (4)
