NAQADA I-II, EARLY 4TH MILLENNIUM B.C.
Of red burnished tapered, slightly ovoid form, 9 in. (23 cm.) high; another similar black-topped red ware jar of tapering form, 7½ in. (19 cm.) high; a Predynastic red pottery bowl, with high rounded sides, 6 in. (15 cm.) diam.; another Predynastic pottery bowl with flaring sides, 9 in. (23 cm.) diam., both Naqada II-III, circa 3700-3100 B.C.; and a small red pottery jar, Naqada III, circa 3250-3100 B.C., 4 in. (10 cm.) high (5)

Formerly in the collection of Victor Bowden, Norfolk, who acquired them between 1945 and 1972.
