CIRCA 4TH-8TH CENTURY A.D.
Comprising a tunic fragment woven in red with deep neck band and twin clavi, with dancers and animals, profile busts below the collar; another polychrome, with neck band, clavus and roundel, fish, birds and foliate motifs, an erote within the roundel, 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) across max.; a monochrome band with stylized figures, animals, birds and fish between interlacing patterns; a red ground clavus with stylized figures and foliate motifs; and a red decorative band with white geometric motifs, 22½ in. (57.2 cm.) long max., mounted in three frames (5)
