CIRCA 5TH-6TH CENTURY A.D.
Decorated with horizontal and vertical bands of stripes, zigzags, dots and diamond motif pattern, 9 in. (23 cm.) high; and a group of Coptic textile fragments, tunic borders and clavi including: a polychrome fragment in loop woven wool with an interlaced square and diamond motif border with central stylized bird; three bands, each decorated with hearts and stylized leaves; and two double bands each woven in red with stylized figures and animals, all 4th-7th Century A.D., 18 in. (46 cm.) long max., mounted in eight frames (17)
