A GROUP OF ROMAN GLASS VESSELS
CIRCA 2ND-4TH CENTURY A.D.
Comprising a green glass round-bodied flask, the neck with folded rim, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high; a green glass pilgrim flask, silver iridescence, 8 in. (20.2 cm.) high; a green glass 'candlestick' unguentarium, 7½ in. (19 cm.) high; a miniature flask with rounded body, 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high; and another ten green glass jars, flasks and unguentaria, some damaged, 8 in. (20.2 cm.) high max. (14)
Provenance
Acquired by the present owner's grandmother in the early 1940s.
