CIRCA 1ST CENTURY B.C., FROM AMPHIPOLIS
With a youth hunting on horseback, cape flowing out behind, right arm raised holding a spear aimed at a boar which emerges from near a tree, a serpent coiled around the trunk, a hound crouching on the ground below

Reputedly from the late 19th/early 20th Century collection of the German born collector Baron Adolf Wix.
