Lot Essay

By repute inherited by present owner's wife from her father who had been given it by Count de Bendern, who was believed to have been the illegitimate son Edward VII and an Italian princess. Count de Bendern was a close friend of Winston Churchill and in 1900 was given Royal ascent.
