The rounded rectangular swivelling top enclosing a navy blue baize-lined playing-surface, on a spreading baluster column and concave-sided plinth inlaid with foliage, on scroll feet

Lot Essay

The amboyna table-top and feet is wreathed with ebony inlay of Grecian-black ribbon in the French/antique fashion popularised by George Bullock (d. 1818), who opened his Piccadilly 'Grecian Rooms' in 1812 before moving to his 'tasteful repository' in Tenterden Street.
