AN EARLY VICTORIAN SATINWOOD, GONCALO ALVES AND BROWN OAK CENTRE TABLE

The rounded rectangular top veneered and crossbanded in possibly olivewood above a pair of mahogany-lined frieze drawers with convex quarter fillets, the frieze with scrolled end terminals and reeled lower edge, on twin end supports joined by a stretcher, each with a spreading shaft carved with flowerheads, on scrolled foliate and cabriole legs with rockwork feet and sunk brass castors, one frieze drawer stamped 5672, the interior drawer lining stencilled 'FROM HOLLAND & SONS UPHOLSTERERS & C. NO 19 MARYLEBONE STREET ST. JAMES'S /...LONDON' and inscribed in ink 'M. CANNON CHIPPINGTON', the underside with white chalk inscription 'W. W. KEEL (?) ESQ.'
