The spherical colorless and frosted glass bowl molded and cut with two bands of berried laurel, centering an oval cartouche engraved with the coat-of-arms of Count Dmitriev-Mamonov, and flanked by two oval cartouches engraved with the Cyrillic initials 'TM' and 'DM', the domed foot and hinged domed cover applied with winged caryatids, grotesque masks, fish, sea serpents, and foliate motifs, and set with varicolor paste stones, between bands of turquoise enamel beads, the handle in the form of two leaf-wrapped entwined snakes with diamond-set eyes, issuing from a male mask, fully marked
