With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1917 and its subsequent sale on 25 July 1918.

According to the engraved inscription on the cuvette of this watch, it was given to Hamilton Gregg by Nathan Gregg, possibly for his 20th birthday in 1919.

Nathan Gregg was a prominent investment broker in Denver. His son Hamilton graduated from East Denver High School. The family was socially prominent, belonging to the Denver Athletic Club, the Denver Country Club, and the Denver Motor Club.
