Lot Essay

Lady Beaujolais Bury was the only daughter of Charles William Bury, the 2nd Earl of Charleville (1801-1851) and his wife Harriet Charlotte (née Beaujolais) (d. 1848). The present watercolour depicts the Gothic revival castle created by her grandparents.
