拍品專文

This stool is directly inspired by the pattern published by T. King in his The Cabinet Makers' Sketch Book of 1835, where it is described as being of 'Elizabethan Style'. Supplied to Lissadell alongside another 'Louis XIV style' stool pattern published by King, the latter was stamped by Messrs. Williams & Gibton of Dublin, who were responsible for furnishing Lissadell's Grecian interiors designed by Francis Goodwin from around 1835.
