Lot Essay

Philip Thomason's Cudworth workshop has specialised for over twenty-five years in architectural stoneware, particularly designs by Eleanor Coade's Lambeth manufactory of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The present lot is a variation on the Coade etching No.105 from the catalogue of etchings of circa 1785.
