A FINE WHITE AND RUSSET JADE CHILONG SWORD POMMEL
WESTERN HAN PERIOD (206 BC - 8 AD)
The centre finely carved in high relief with a long-bodied writhing chilong, surrounded by a band of confronting C-scrolls, the sides with seven equidistant shallow depressions, the reverse with a central deep circular groove surrounded by a wide band of double-spirals and three obliquely placed perforations
1¾ in. (4.4 cm.) diam.
